This deserves a post all its own

Does anyone now doubt our society is messed up beyond belief?
"Maisie was conceived after Chantelle and Alfie — just 12 at the time — had a single night of unprotected sex."

If I were to listen to the Pelosi/PP crowd, the solution to this problem would be more-accessible condoms. But I'm sorry, I do not think 12-year-olds should be having sex, with contraception or without. Whatever happened to the "innocence of youth?" In a way, I'm not surprised - We stuff our sex-filled culture down the throats of younger and younger ages (like this, for example,) and then think the consequences can be easily tidied up and forgotten about. [Side note: Props to them for keeping the baby.]
But look, for the sake of argument, I'll grant that "college kids are going to do it anyway" (a dubious proposition, but we'll let it lie for now.) High school kids, again, you're always going to get some who are going to push the envelope, but 12 year olds? When I was 12, I'm not sure I even knew what sex was! And we're told more comprehensive and younger education and better access to "family-planning services" (e.g. abortion and contraception) will do the trick? Birth control and abortion won't solve the problem - It's a matter of culture and media. And I, for one, am at my wit's end for what to do about it.
